Arendalsuka 2023

How do you retain talent in your business?

The younger generation is changing jobs more frequently than previous generations. Why is this so?

Arendalsuka Meet us

On August 16, FRONT Leadership and EY are hosting a breakfast meeting together in Arendal. We want to shed light on the challenge of retaining talent in the company, and take a closer look at why younger people change jobs more frequently than older generations.

Losing an employee is costly. You lose good knowledge and experience, a good team player, but not least, it also costs the company about a year's salary to lose an employee and then hire a new one. So how do you deal with this challenge? Is it about resources, poor managers, or are the younger employees making too many demands?

On the panel we have Kjersti Midthun Næss from Norsk Hydro and Ørjan Bøe Thygesen from Capra Consulting. They will tell us how large and small companies work to offer the best workplace for their employees, and how they themselves work to retain young employees over a longer period of time.

Mats Kristensen from FRONT Leadership and Finn Holm from EY will share their expertise and experience as leadership developers. What do customers say, and how have Mats and Finn solved this problem at customer sites?

Anders Dysvik is a professor of organization and management at BI and will share findings from research, as well as a lot of professional advice for what managers and HR managers can do better in the company they work in.

This breakfast meeting will be moderated by Kathleen Mathisen of Grieg Seafood, who herself works hard to create jobs that people are proud of and want to stay in for as long as possible.
